About the Surgical Scrub Technician Role
Crown Staffing is seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Surgical Scrub Technician to join a reputable plastic surgery center in Lexington, KY. This role supports cosmetic and reconstructive procedures by maintaining sterile technique, preparing operating rooms, and assisting surgeons throughout surgical cases in a clean, modern outpatient environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Prepare operating rooms by setting up surgical instruments, equipment, and sterile supplies.
- Maintain strict sterile technique throughout all surgical procedures.
- Assist surgeons during procedures by anticipating needs and passing instruments.
- Perform surgical counts of instruments, sponges, and supplies before and after procedures.
- Clean, sterilize, and organize surgical instruments and equipment.
- Assist with patient positioning and preparation as directed.
- Follow all infection control, safety, and regulatory guidelines.
- Communicate effectively with surgeons, nurses, and operating room staff.
- Maintain patient confidentiality and support a high standard of patient care.
Procedures May Include
- Cosmetic surgeries (e.g., liposuction, breast augmentation, facelifts)
- Reconstructive plastic surgery procedures
- Outpatient surgical cases
Requirements & Qualifications
- Current Surgical Technologist certification (CST) preferred or required per facility.
- Active BLS/CPR certification.
- Previous experience in plastic surgery or outpatient surgical settings preferred.
- Strong knowledge of sterile technique and surgical instrumentation.
- Excellent attention to detail and ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment.
- Professional demeanor with strong communication skills.
