About the Building Maintenance Technician Role
Crown Staffing is seeking a dependable and skilled Building Maintenance Technician to support an apartment community in Fort Wayne, IN. This role is essential in maintaining the safety, appearance, and functionality of the property. The ideal candidate will have basic maintenance experience, strong problem-solving abilities, and the ability to work independently while providing excellent service to residents.
Key Responsibilities
- Perform routine maintenance and minor repairs in apartments and common areas.
- Respond promptly and professionally to resident maintenance requests.
- Support preventive maintenance tasks as directed by management.
- Maintain and troubleshoot basic building systems, including plumbing, electrical, HVAC, and appliances (within skill level).
- Follow safety standards and building code requirements.
- Report major repair needs or safety concerns to the management team.
- Maintain organized and clean maintenance tools, equipment, and storage areas.
Qualifications
- Previous building maintenance or related experience preferred.
- Basic knowledge of plumbing, electrical systems, and general repair tasks.
- Strong attention to detail and problem-solving abilities.
- Good communication skills and ability to work independently.
- Reliability and ability to manage multiple tasks efficiently.
