Accounts Payable SpecialistJob Details
Monday–Friday | 8:00 AM – 5:00 PM | $19.20/hour
- Overtime possible and may be mandatory
Accounts Payable Specialist Requirements
- High school diploma or GED (required)
- 1–2 years of Accounts Payable or related accounting experience (required)
- Strong computer literacy and proficiency in Microsoft Office (required)
- Experience writing professional business correspondence (required)
- Strong problem-solving and multitasking skills in a fast-paced environment (required)
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills (required)
- Experience auditing invoices and calculating freight charges (preferred)
- Experience in foodservice and/or distribution industry (preferred)
About the Accounts Payable Specialist Role
As an Accounts Payable Specialist your responsibilities will include:
- Auditing factory-direct invoices to verify accurate product costs and pricing
- Calculating and validating freight charges on factory-direct invoices
- Researching and responding to Sales Department inquiries regarding invoices and freight rates
- Processing factory-direct invoices into the Accounts Payable system with high accuracy
- Reviewing documentation to ensure compliance with company policies and procedures
- Identifying discrepancies and resolving invoice issues in a timely manner
- Escalating issues beyond scope of authority to appropriate leadership
- Maintaining accurate financial records and documentation
- Communicating with vendors and internal departments regarding invoice questions
- Supporting month-end processes and reporting as needed
- Performing additional accounting and administrative duties as assigned
