Customer Service Returns Representative Job Details
Monday–Friday | 8:00 AM – 5:00 PM | $19/hour
- Overtime possible and may be mandatory
Customer Service Returns Representative Requirements
- 2–4 years of customer service experience or related transferable experience (required)
- Experience in returns processing, vendor authorizations, or distribution environments (preferred)
- Strong Microsoft Office skills, including Excel and Outlook (required)
- Strong attention to detail and data entry accuracy (required)
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills (required)
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team (required)
- Experience with database management or ERP systems (preferred)
About the Customer Service Returns Representative Role
As a Customer Service Returns Representative, your responsibilities will include:
- Processing RA Vendor Debit Authorization Reports by verifying return-to-vendor shipments through UPS and other common carriers
- Following up on return authorizations (RAs) prior to physical returns to ensure timely processing
- Managing pending vendor authorizations and maintaining consistent follow-up communication
- Running daily reports to create quality notifications and submitting vendor authorization forms
- Communicating with vendors, manufacturers, and internal departments to ensure return completion
- Maintaining ownership of the returns database and ensuring accurate recordkeeping
- Identifying, communicating, and correcting documentation inaccuracies
- Supporting a “No Hassle” returns experience while balancing financial impact to the company
- Operating office equipment including copier, OnBase scanner, and computer systems
- Managing time effectively to meet productivity and performance goals
