General Laborer Job Details

Schedule: Monday–Friday, 7:30 AM–4:00 PM

Pay Rate: $14.00/hr

Location: Dayton, KY

General Laborer Requirements/Qualifications

Previous general labor, warehouse, manufacturing, or industrial cleaning experience preferred.
Experience cleaning industrial equipment or machinery preferred.
Familiarity with sandblasting equipment or abrasive cleaning processes is a plus.
Ability to perform hands-on cleaning and equipment preparation tasks.
Willingness to learn proper sandblasting techniques and equipment handling procedures.
Ability to assist with packaging, shipping, and receiving operations.
Strong attention to detail when cleaning and preparing equipment.
Ability to follow established safety procedures when working with industrial equipment.
Ability to safely handle tools, equipment, and cleaning materials.
Ability to inspect equipment for visible dirt, debris, or damage.
Ability to perform repetitive physical tasks throughout the workday.
Ability to stand, walk, bend, reach, and perform general labor duties.
Strong organizational and time-management skills.
Ability to maintain clean and organized work areas.
Ability to follow written and verbal instructions.
Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
Strong communication skills and willingness to assist with multiple responsibilities.
Ability to handle materials carefully during packaging and shipping.
Ability to maintain accuracy when preparing items for shipment.

About the General Laborer Role

As a General Laborer, your responsibilities will include:

Clean welding equipment and related industrial components.
Perform sandblasting activities to remove surface buildup and prepare equipment.
Assist with preparing equipment for inspection, repair, or further processing.
Remove dirt, debris, and other unwanted materials from equipment surfaces.
Follow established procedures for cleaning and handling industrial equipment.
Use assigned cleaning tools and equipment safely.
Assist with organizing equipment and materials throughout the work area.
Inspect cleaned equipment for visible debris or areas requiring additional attention.
Prepare cleaned equipment for packaging and shipment.
Package equipment and components using appropriate materials.
Assist with shipping operations and outgoing orders.
Support receiving activities for incoming equipment and materials.
Unpack and organize incoming shipments as directed.
Move equipment and materials to designated work or storage areas.
Assist with sorting and organizing items for processing.
Maintain accurate organization of materials during shipping and receiving activities.
Keep cleaning stations and work areas neat and organized.
Follow workplace safety guidelines when performing sandblasting and cleaning duties.
Communicate equipment concerns or damaged materials to supervisors.
Work cooperatively with team members to complete daily assignments.
Support general warehouse and equipment handling activities as needed.
Perform additional cleaning, packaging, shipping, and receiving duties as assigned.
