Registered Nurse (RN) – ICU | 3rd Shift
Temporary / Short-Term Assignment
Pay Rate: $50.00 per hour
Assignment Length: 13 Weeks
Shift: 3rd Shift | 7:00 PM – 7:00 AM
Schedule: 2×12-hour night shifts with rotation of weekends and holidays

About the RN – ICU Role
Crown Staffing is seeking an experienced ICU Registered Nurse for a 13-week temporary assignment on 3rd shift. This role supports critically ill patients in a fast-paced acute care environment and requires strong clinical skills, critical thinking, and the ability to manage complex patient conditions.
Key Responsibilities
IV Therapy & Vascular Access
- Start and manage peripheral IVs
- IV therapy and phlebotomy
- Central line care and management
- PICC line management
- Accessing ports
- Blood product administration
Cardiac & Respiratory Care
- Cardiac telemetry and monitoring
- Interpretation and management of dysrhythmias
- Chest tube management (Emerson / Pleur-evac)
- External CPAP/BIPAP
- High-flow nasal cannula (HFNC)
- Tracheostomy management
- Non-invasive airway management
- Oxygen delivery devices (nasal cannula, face masks, portable oxygen tanks)
- Interpretation of arterial blood gases (ABGs)
Genitourinary & Renal
- Continuous bladder irrigation
- Pre- and post-hemodialysis management
- Care of patients with renal failure
Gastrointestinal
- Feeding tube care and management
Medication Management
- Heparin protocols
- Management of cardiac drips
- Management of vasoactive drips
- Continuous IV sedation
- Titration of insulin drips
- Titration of IV vasopressors
- Procedural sedation administration
Cardiovascular
- Pre- and post-cardiac catheterization care
- Post-cardiac angiogram care
- TR band management
- Sheath removal
- Post-myocardial infarction care
Neurological & Psychiatric
- Management of seizure disorders
- Substance withdrawal care
Professional & Clinical Skills
- Isolation precautions
- Wound care and wound vac management
- Rapid Response Team utilization
- Computerized documentation
- ICU nurse-to-patient ratios typically 1:1–2
- NIH Stroke Scale utilization
Work Settings
- ICU
- Cardiac Telemetry
- MS/Tele
- PCU / IMC / Stepdown
- Respiratory care units
Requirements
- Active RN license (state-specific requirements apply)
- Minimum 2 years of ICU experience (1.5+ years of recent experience required)
- EPIC experience required
- BLS and ACLS certifications required
- PALS required for ER assignments only
- Strong experience with ventilated patients
- Airway and central line management experience
- Experience managing IV drips and dysrhythmias
