Sewing Machine Operator Job Details
Elizabethtown, KY
Pay: $15.00/hour during training
Post-Training Pay: $15.00 – $22.00/hour
Schedule: Monday – Friday | 7:00 AM – 3:30 PM
Position Type: Direct Hire
Sewing Machine Operator Requirements
- High school diploma or GED required
- Sewing or hemming experience preferred
- Ability to perform detailed, hands-on work
- Basic math skills and ability to read instructions
- Strong attention to detail and quality
- Ability to work independently and manage multiple tasks
Key Responsibilities
- Operate high-speed industrial sewing machines using various fabrics
- Measure, cut, pin, and sew materials according to specifications
- Fit, alter, and adjust garments as needed
- Press finished products using irons or pressing equipment
- Follow written and verbal instructions for production tasks
- Perform basic machine maintenance to ensure proper operation
- Maintain a clean and organized work area
- Complete tasks efficiently while maintaining quality standards
