About the Customer Service Representative Role
We are seeking a customer-focused and detail-oriented Customer Service Representative to support our closet solutions product line at our Indianapolis branch. In this role, you will assist customers with order placement, provide sales quotes, and ensure accuracy throughout the order process. This position requires professionalism, strong communication skills, and the ability to work closely with designers, cabinet makers, and woodworkers. If you enjoy problem-solving, supporting customers face-to-face and over the phone, and working in a team-oriented environment, this role may be a great fit for you.
Key Responsibilities
- Answer incoming customer calls for order placement and provide sales quotes
- Collaborate with outside sales representatives on customer orders and quoting
- Assist walk-in customers in the showroom with questions, orders, and product returns
- Partner with designers, cabinet makers, and woodworkers to support project needs
- Proactively solicit new or complementary product sales in person and by phone
- Research and recommend product solutions to resolve field or project-related issues
- Maintain a high standard of customer satisfaction and service professionalism
Requirements
- Prior experience in customer service or a similar role
- Knowledge of closet design, closet components, or building materials (preferred)
- Strong customer service, problem-solving, and project management abilities
- Team-oriented with initiative, creativity, and a strong sense of drive
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications (Word, Excel); AS400 experience a plus
- High school diploma required; some college coursework preferred
- Excellent communication skills and the ability to work effectively with diverse customers
