Swim Instructor
Lexington, KY
Pay: $14.00–$18.00/hour (based on experience)
Schedule:
  • Tuesday | 4:00 PM – 7:00 PM
  • Wednesday | 4:00 PM – 7:00 PM
  • Thursday | 4:00 PM – 7:00 PM
  • Saturday | 9:00 AM – 1:00 PM
Part-Time

Swim Instructor Requirements

  • Passion for teaching and working with children
  • Positive attitude and ability to motivate and encourage swimmers
  • Strong communication and customer service skills
  • Ability to create a fun, safe, and engaging learning environment
  • Comfortable working in the water for extended periods
  • CPR certification preferred or willingness to obtain certification
  • Previous swimming or swim instruction experience is a plus, but not required
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
Key Responsibilities

  • Teach swim lessons following the SafeSplash curriculum
  • Provide positive feedback and encouragement to swimmers
  • Ensure the safety of all participants during lessons
  • Introduce and reinforce swimming techniques and water safety skills
  • Structure lessons to promote skill development and confidence
  • Monitor swimmer progress and update skill records
  • Build positive relationships with swimmers and their families
  • Maintain a professional, friendly, and welcoming environment
  • Follow all safety procedures and program guidelines
