Job Description
Maintenance Mechanic
Shelbyville, KY
Pay: $33.28 – $37.87/hour
Shifts Available: 2nd & 3rd Shift
Full-Time | Direct Hire
Maintenance Mechanic Requirements
- Minimum of 3 years of industrial maintenance experience
- Experience troubleshooting PLC systems (Allen Bradley, Siemens, Omron preferred)
- Knowledge of motor controls and electrical systems, including 480V and 3-phase power
- Experience working with pneumatic and hydraulic systems
- Ability to read and interpret technical documents and instructions
- Strong troubleshooting, problem-solving, and multitasking skills
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
Preferred Qualifications
- Electrical certification (Cat 2 or equivalent)
- Experience with machine shop or fabrication work
- Experience with preventative maintenance systems
Key Responsibilities
- Perform maintenance and repairs in support of quality and safety standards
- Install, maintain, and troubleshoot production and auxiliary equipment
- Diagnose and repair mechanical, electrical, pneumatic, and hydraulic systems
- Maintain facility and utility-related equipment
- Support preventative maintenance programs and equipment rebuilds
- Assist in training and supporting maintenance team members
- Collaborate with production and engineering teams to resolve equipment issues
- Maintain a clean, safe, and organized work environment
- Support small projects to improve equipment performance and reliability
