Schedule Information
- Night shift
- 7:00 PM–7:30 AM
- 13-week assignment
Registered Nurse – Med/Surg Requirements
- At least one year of relevant nursing experience
- Recent acute-care Med/Surg experience required
- Experience completing patient assessments
- Experience administering medications and prescribed treatments
- Experience initiating and managing IV therapies
- Ability to recognize and respond to changes in patient condition
- Strong care-planning and clinical-documentation skills
- Ability to collaborate with physicians and interdisciplinary staff
- Experience using electronic medical records
- Ability to operate standard medical-surgical nursing equipment
- Ability to stand and walk for extended periods
- Ability to assist with patient positioning and transfers
- Ability to bend, reach, and move medical equipment
Key Responsibilities
- Provide direct medical-surgical nursing care during the night shift.
- Complete comprehensive patient assessments.
- Monitor vital signs and changes in patient condition.
- Administer medications and prescribed treatments.
- Initiate and manage IV therapies.
- Develop, maintain, and update patient care plans.
- Complete accurate and timely clinical documentation.
- Assist with patient admissions, transfers, and discharges.
- Coordinate patient care with physicians and interdisciplinary staff.
- Operate patient monitors, infusion pumps, medication-administration systems, and oxygen equipment.
- Use patient-transfer equipment safely.
- Follow all facility patient-safety, infection-control, and medication-administration procedures.
About the Registered Nurse – Med/Surg Role
Crown Staffing is hiring a Registered Nurse (RN) – Med/Surg for a 13-week night-shift contract in Mayfield, KY. This position is ideal for an experienced nurse who can confidently provide direct care to acute-care medical-surgical patients.
The ideal candidate will have at least one year of relevant nursing experience with recent acute-care Med/Surg experience. Candidates should be comfortable completing assessments, administering medications and treatments, managing IV therapies, maintaining care plans, and coordinating care with an interdisciplinary team.
