Job Description
Position Summary
The Shop Helper/Fabricator supports the Product Team with order fulfillment, fabrication, and logistics activities. This role plays a key part in maintaining efficient shop operations, ensuring product quality, and supporting timely delivery to customers.
Principal Duties and Responsibilities
- Fabricate various carbon steel fittings
- Build and fuse HDPE poly pipe and fittings
- Clean threads on all MPT/FPT fittings after galvanizing
- Stock parts in accordance with FIFO procedures
- Accurately identify, move, and store finished products in designated locations
- Assist with order fulfillment and learn all shipping software and procedures
- Perform raw and finished inventory counts
- Help maintain yard and shop organization
- Clean, organize, and maintain a tidy work environment
- Pick up and drop off parts as needed throughout Dayton and surrounding areas
- Ensure equipment is properly set up, operated safely, and all safety devices are in use
- Operate a forklift safely once trained and certified
- Monitor equipment performance and request maintenance when required
- Perform basic maintenance and minor repairs as needed

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
- Preferred: 3+ years of experience in a manufacturing or distribution warehouse environment
- Experience or knowledge in fabrication, machining, or mechanical repair is a plus but not required
- Ability to follow safety procedures and work instructions
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team

Working Conditions
This position works in a production and fabrication environment with potential risk of injury. Required use of appropriate personal protective equipment (PPE). Frequent bending, lifting, pushing, and pulling up to 100 pounds is required.
