Job Description
Do you love to cook and have a passion for food? Crown Staffing is seeking a skilled and motivated Cook to prepare delicious, high-quality meals in a fast-paced food service environment. The ideal candidate will have experience with food preparation, various cooking methods, and food safety practices.
Responsibilities
- Prepare and cook meals according to recipes, production guidelines, and quality standards.
- Assist with food preparation, including measuring ingredients, cutting, chopping, and portioning.
- Follow proper food handling, sanitation, and food storage procedures.
- Maintain a clean and organized kitchen and work area.
- Monitor food quality, freshness, and presentation.
- Follow established safety procedures and use kitchen equipment properly.
- Work collaboratively with team members to ensure timely meal preparation and service.
- Follow all applicable food safety regulations and workplace policies.
Qualifications
- Previous experience as a cook or in a related food service role required.
- Knowledge of basic food preparation principles, cooking methods, and food safety regulations.
- Ability to follow recipes, production instructions, and portion control guidelines.
- Basic math and counting skills.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills.
- Ability to obtain the required food safety certification.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment while maintaining quality and safety standards.
Physical Requirements
- Ability to stand and walk for extended periods.
- Ability to lift, bend, push, and pull as needed.
- Ability to wear required uniforms and personal protective equipment (PPE).
- Ability to safely operate kitchen equipment and handle food preparation tools.
