Schedule Information
- Day shift
- 7:00 AM–7:00 PM
- 13-week assignment
Registered Nurse – NICU Requirements
- At least two years of relevant nursing experience
- Active RN license
- Current BLS certification
- Current NRP certification
- Experience completing neonatal patient assessments
- Experience administering medications and managing IV therapies
- Ability to recognize and respond promptly to changes in neonatal condition
- Experience with neonatal feeding and developmental care
- Strong clinical-documentation and family-education skills
- Ability to use electronic medical records
- Ability to operate neonatal monitors, incubators, warmers, infusion pumps, and respiratory-support equipment
- Ability to stand and walk for extended periods
- Ability to safely handle and position neonatal patients
- Ability to bend, reach, and move neonatal-care equipment
Key Responsibilities
- Provide specialized nursing care to neonatal patients.
- Complete comprehensive neonatal assessments.
- Continuously monitor vital signs and respiratory status.
- Administer medications and prescribed treatments.
- Initiate and manage IV therapies.
- Assist with feeding and developmental-care activities.
- Safely position neonatal patients during care.
- Educate and support parents and families.
- Maintain accurate and timely clinical documentation.
- Respond promptly to changes in neonatal condition.
- Coordinate care with physicians and interdisciplinary clinical staff.
- Operate neonatal monitors, incubators, warmers, infusion pumps, and respiratory-support equipment.
- Follow all facility patient-safety, infection-control, and NICU procedures.
About the Registered Nurse – NICU Role
Crown Staffing is hiring a Registered Nurse (RN) – NICU for a 13-week day-shift contract in Somerset, KY. This position is ideal for an experienced nurse who can provide specialized, compassionate care to neonatal patients while supporting their parents and families.
The ideal candidate will have at least two years of relevant nursing experience, an active RN license, and current BLS and NRP certifications. Candidates should be comfortable completing neonatal assessments, managing medications and IV therapies, monitoring respiratory status, and responding quickly to changes in patient condition.
