About the Home Inspector Role
Crown Staffing is seeking a detail-oriented and motivated Home Inspector to join a growing inspection team. This role is ideal for someone who is disciplined, methodical, and committed to providing accurate, high-quality inspection services. Strong communication skills and professionalism are essential, as inspectors interact regularly with clients and real estate professionals.
No prior home inspection experience is required. On-the-job training is provided, and reimbursement is available for the Kentucky state-required course and the National Home Inspector Exam (NHIE) upon successful completion.
Key Responsibilities
- Conduct residential and commercial property inspections in accordance with company and state standards.
- Prepare clear, accurate, and detailed inspection reports using provided software.
- Communicate inspection findings clearly and professionally with clients and real estate agents.
- Work independently in the field while maintaining consistent communication with the office team.
- Inspect property systems and components, including roofing, structural areas, electrical, plumbing, and HVAC systems.
- Perform ancillary inspection services such as radon testing, mold testing, sewer camera inspections, and similar services as trained.
- Properly use and maintain inspection tools, equipment, and software.
- Maintain professional appearance and ensure tools and vehicle are clean and organized.
- Complete required continuing education to maintain certifications.
- Follow safety procedures and best practices at all times.
Qualifications
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to accuracy.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
- Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation.
- Basic computer skills for report writing and digital communication.
- Ability to complete the Kentucky-required home inspection course and pass the National Home Inspector Exam (NHIE) (reimbursement provided).
- Prior experience in construction, maintenance, or related trades is a plus but not required.
